swan art club
Swan Art Club was founded in late April 2025 with the simple aim to make a free and regularly recurring space for anyone to feel welcome, reconnect with creativity, and grow local networks. Over the summer of 2025, it flourished, and a strong creative community was born! Swan Club has been run solely by me since the end of summer, and it has continued to grow and foster an expansive artistic community via solid local relationships and genuine connections.
Like how birds migrate for winter, Swan Club is seasonal, and we move inside for the colder months - hopping around different venues, supporting local businesses and growing our communal networks. Since moving indoors, we have been graciously hosted by local galleries, theatres, and venues such as the AUGER Collective, the Lighthouse theatre, Adorned Tattoo, the Courtyard Cafe, and the Goat and Tricycle.
We have a vibrant groupchat where we organise group trips, send each other local creative events, and support one another in getting out there. With the platform of Swan Club, I have facilitated events such as poetry workshops, creative ‘Show & Tells’, skill-shares, and group painting sessions.
